Mark Review: Get A Tint, Chic Duet & Make It Go Away

Hello, hello! Once again it has been awhile since I've done updates and I really need to change that! I definitely owe this gal a post that is over a month overdue.

My girl Samilu has recently become a Mark representative and has shared some products that she loves and thought I would too! If you are interested in any of the products listed, please check out her site and let her know mizleilei sent you. Samilu's Mark Boutique

I can't help but mention that Sam also makes jewelry! Please check out her etsy site as well. :) Camarilla Designs

Hello loot! I was happily surprised to receive a package before I left on vacation and couldn't wait to tear into it. I had to!

Sam sent some samples along with the Get A Tint, Chic Duet and Make It Go Away. I haven't tried the samples yet, but I have tried and have been using the products. I have not tried any Mark products until now. I have heard of the brand and know that L.C. is a spokesmodel. Yes, I am a Hills fan. Haha! I checked out her boutique and saw some really fun products that are definitely affordable and fun.

Get A Tint - Tinted Moisturizer Lotion SPF 15 $8
Desribed as, "A lightweight, oil-free moisturizer with just enough color to even out your skin tone and give the appearance of a healthy glow. The unique skin-balancing formula hydrates while it helps prevent shine in those spots prone to excess oil. 1.6 fl. oz."
I was afraid that the Honey color was going to be too dark for me, but after my sun in Cabo, the shade is perfect for my summer skin! While its kind of weird for me NOT to moisturize before putting on make up, I love how I can get light coverage with SPF! I do love my golden brown deliciousness, but I always wear sunscreen! Get A Tint is available in 4 shades and is good for light to medium skin tones.

Pros: Lightweight and natural, SPF 15, did not irritate my skin and has no weird smell.

Cons: Limited amount of shades, this does rub off easily so be mindful when wearing light colors.

Sorry for the blurry pics! This is the actual lip color on its own without the gloss.

This is the color mixed in with the gloss.

Chic Duet Color and Shine Lip Gloss $6
Described as, "Destined to become your main squeeze, this high-shine gloss features innovative tube-in-a-tube packaging, allowing glassy clear gloss and colored gloss to combine. 0.40 fl. oz."

I'm a sucker for lippies and you can always count on me to have more than one stashed in my purse. Chic Duet is a great combo of color and gloss in one. Sparks Fly is a pretty, shimmery berry that applies quite sheer than what it may look like in the tube. The gloss tastes like watermelon...yes I eat my gloss off my lips! If it smells or tastes weird, I won't use it. It took awhile before I could get any of the color out of the tube since the clear gloss was full. The directions say to squeeze in the middle for a mix of gloss and color or squeeze at the top to get mostly color. I found out the opposite works to get color by squeezing from the bottom of the tube. Chic Duet is available in 4 shades - a nude, brown, berry and pink shade.

Pros: Combines both color and gloss in one, tastes great, very natural color

Cons: No SPF (not always found in glosses though)

Make It Go Away - Makeup Removing Wipes $8
Described as, "Whether you’re exhausted after a long night out or sweaty after a workout, these towelettes – saturated with a gentle cleanser – are a great substitute for your regular face wash and can even be used to remove eye makeup. Pack of 30 wipes."

I brought these to Cabo and actually kept them in my bed. Not on the nightstand, but IN the bed. You already know how that goes when the party girl comes stumbling back home. ;) My skin is sensitive and I have to be very careful about the types of wipes I choose and luckily, I did not have a reaction to these! The gentle cleanser was effective enough to get off my UD 24/7 pencil from my lids and we know how difficult that can be to remove! There was no bad smell and these left my skin feeling clean without any tightness. Keep these at your bedside or in your "hoe bag" when you have to wipe away remants of what you looked like last night. Haha!

Pros: Cleans well and leaves no residue, a steal for 8 bux for a pack of 30!

Cons: Thinner than most makeup removing wipes

Overall, I am really impressed with the quality and affordability of Mark products. This is a great brand for women of all ages that not only offers skincare and cosmetics, but clothing, shoes and jewelry! Thank you again to my girl Samilu! Please visit her Mark and Camarilla Designs stores when you get a chance. :)

Sephora Favorites Boxed Kits

Accckk! I am a sucker for great deals and I could not pass up picking up one of the Sephora Favorites Boxed Kits! I'm not going to spill which one I got because I snagged one for Ms. B as well and don't want to ruin the surprise! I was glad to see a variety of kits including fragrance, mascara and lippies! This is a great opportunity to try out something new.

I have been extremely behind due to my laziness. I'm jobless and what can I say? I'm living it up right now, but I need to find my focus. Help! More later as I've come across some great products that I can't wait to share reviews on!

Needed to change it up. :)

New post in a bit. I've been a sicky and have been sleeping early. Being lethargic sucks!

Sneak peak!

So spoiled! My BKK cutie Ms. B is in town and we finally had some girl time the other night. Shopping at Target and munchies at McDonald's! Haha! Anything but Chinese food...please! We have both collected items to give each other for the past couple of months and finally did our swap. I couldn't get everything back in the bag after I had taken everything out to ooh and ahh over. :D A formal post is on the way, but I still have to review some other things she has given me first!

Good Friday FOTD

It is and will be a good Friday. As long as someone isn't nerbiosa to hang with me again.

Once again another FOTD at the end of the work week. This is the second time this week that I've worn make up to work. Hahah! There is no one to impress in my building and my mornings have been spent running and rushing to get ready for work and make up is not one of the priorities. DIGUSING is because I don't want to be all pawis at work. For you non-Ilocanos/Flips digusing = showering and pawis = sweaty.

Full frontal. Mehhh.

Products used-

Face:
L'oreal Bare Naturale Gentle Mineral Concealer in Light under & around the eye area
Garden Botanika Natural Balance Powder Foundation in Caramel
NARS Deep Throat Blush
Coastal Scents Silica Powder Spheres - dupe of MUFE HD Microfinish Powder

Eyes:
UDPP
MAC Provence pigment all over lid
MAC Earthly Riches mineral eyeshadow duo - gunmetal in outer-v & contour and plum in the crease
Pop Beauty Eyecake in Naked Brown Eyes - lighter champagne eyeshadow to highlight
MAC Fluidline in Blitz & Glitz
2x coats on top & 1 coat on the bottom Maybelline Defin-A-Lash Volume Mascara
eye noon eyelashes SK-#508
Anastasia Brunette Brow Powder

Lips:
MAC Lipgelee in Amber Russe

I have to find a better way to get some decent lighting so you can see the actual colors. Earthly Riches is a gorgeous duo that I love! It applies fairly light and allows you to build the color to your intensity.

I normally don't wear falsies to work, but today I decided to grab a pair from my stash. I bought a bunch down in LA from Asia Gardens Mall in Westminster. These ones are a bit dramatic to wear during the day, but oh well. Today it goes with my mood and my shoes. 4" black patent stilettos. Too bad they aren't Loubys I have been eyeing! :\

And once again the crap fluorescent lighting ruins the color. I wasn't too fond of MAC's Lip Gelee's when they first came out, but I finally picked one up at CCS. Amber Russe is exactly how it sounds. A light coppery color with flecks of green and gold. I didn't like the slip of the gloss, but this is actually a better choice than Lipglass based on how emollient the product is. I don't need to add a base of lip balm before applying and it doesn't dry my lips out as much as Lipglass can.

You always have to have a GOOD side picture. Happy Good Friday!

Let me know if you guys do visit Christine and fill me in on your experience. :) You can hear about my snoring during my visits with Christine. Hahah!

New make up bag!

Pink with Hello Kitty of course! I retired my large MAC softsac and ordered myself this pretty traincase. This was part of the Hello Kitty for MAC launch and it is LIMITED EDITION so if you snagged one, then you're a lucky gal like me!

How could you not love her? Even though she's a cat with no mouth, I love her.

Everything fits nice and neat in this traincase.

And the best part is that there are DIVIDERS. I'm stoked about having compartments. :D I'm an easy pleaser. And look at the magenta lining. Loves!

Friday FOTD - Nice & Easy

No, not referring to Clairol, but to my make up for today. My kit has pretty much stayed the same, but wait until you see the upgraded bag. That will be the next post. ;) I have been keeping my face pretty bare lately and only do it up when I head out. I picked up a few new goodies last week and will hopefully have some other FOTD/EOTDs to share!

Face:
L'oreal Bare Naturale Gentle Mineral Concealer in Light under & around the eye area
Garden Botanika Natural Balance Powder Foundation in Caramel
Stila cheek color from the Blanc palette

Eyes:
Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Potion
Stila Blanc palette -
-Sand eyeshadow all over lid
-Gold eyeshadow in the crease
-Olive eyeshadow in the outer-v/contour
3x coats Maybelline Define-A-Lash Volume Mascara *hearts!*

Lips:
Hello Kitty for MAC Lipglass in Mimmy *heart hearts!*

Hello Friday! Where is the sun though? That would make today even better! Sporting a sunny colored sweater to make up for the lack of rays.

Eye open & loving the results from this mascara! I guess I'll do a mini-review right now. I picked this mascara up at Targhey for $6 awhile back. I like the original Define-A-Lash and consider that one of my HG mascaras. Well, move on over because this one volumizes! I like the how the wand separates and still distributes the mascara over your lashes to add some oomph! This is definitely a repurchase for when I'm feelin' too poo to buy the good ish. Ehh, just shows that you can buy cheap and get great results and some of you already know that I am a firm believer in using both cheap and steep products. Use what you love!

And with the eye closed. The flash washes out the color here and I really couldn't capture the beautiful gold and olive shadow with the horrible lighting here. Check out those lashes though!

A little better without the flash, but its quite dim.

*swack!* My cousin in Maui said I have chocho lips. Haha! I like having kissable lips. ;)

And without the flash. Once again I couldn't capture the true beauty in this color. Its a gorgeous shade of pink with flecks of pink and of course its LIMITED EDITION. *sigh* Well, knowing MAC, I'm sure they will repromote this color at another time. I should have bought more, but I already went over my limit when HK for MAC came out. Just a tidbit Mimmy is Hello Kitty's Sissy. Haha! Ok, random fact for those of you that aren't obsessed with HK like I am. Ridiculous.

On a side note, I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend! Never take anything in your life for granted. Do what you love and don't be afraid to try new things. There are 2 things that I think you can never have too much of in this world - Love and Knowledge. One.
